“In today’s digital world, we forget to slow down, talk, collaborate, and really explore the good, the bad, and the friction points in business. I’m thrilled to delve into those details, creating the systems that can support and facilitate all of the work we do so our team members can focus on serving our clients.”
Known for running all things HR, finance, operations, and internal IT, Libby has a knack for maintaining an interdisciplinary view of back-office systems, while effectively managing and collaborating with clients.
Much of Libby’s professional career focused on evolving and innovating business processes with technology-based tools to drive improved efficiencies and collaboration. Prior to joining the Benz team, Libby led all internal operations at SolutionSet, including IT and HR, and she was responsible for consolidating benefit programs across five business units in different regions around the county. Earlier in her career, she was the director of web operations for 3Com, overseeing a multimillion-dollar global website redesign. Those roles, combined with her many years as a business consultant, make Libby an expert when it comes to increasing efficiency in internal processes and financial operations.
Libby’s passion for organizational culture and systems doesn’t end with business. She’s also passionate about our country’s food system. Libby enjoys having a connection to the farmers who labor over the food her family enjoys, educating her community and the youth as to where our food comes from, and spreading the word about local providers. She also co-founded an outdoor classroom program at her daughter’s school, where she incorporates science, math, and art into growing, nurturing, harvesting, and eating vegetables from the students’ classroom garden.
Libby holds a B.A. in Organizational Studies from Scripps College, where she served as the president of the Scripps College Alumnae Association and was a member of the Scripps College Board of Trustees. Closer to home, Libby recently served on her school district’s middle school site council, and her local public school’s PTA. She was also a member of the board of Health Connected, an organization that provides comprehensive sexual health education programs to students, parents, and educators in San Mateo County. In 2013, Libby earned an Executive Certificate in Sustainable Management at the Presidio School of Management. Did we mention she’s the mother of two?
In her free time, you can find Libby in her front yard with neighborhood friends and kids, coordinating activities for local schools, or gardening.
